This is the top of Mount Si. It’s almost a mile high. The River is the Snoqualmie and the town in view to my right is Snoqualmie. My house is almost directly below this mountain, visible from a few feet away from where I’m standing. In the distance but obscured by haze are the cities of Seattle and Bellevue. I climb this a couple of times a week all Fall. When the snow starts falling it’s awesome, although the trail can get tricky. When it gets icy, take poles and wear Yak Trax on your boots.
